About Me

Honoring mind, body and soul.

Starting from learning about my own high sensitivity in 2013, I embarked on a journey that ultimately led me to exploring all facets of the human experience. Today, I combine Western psychology, Buddhist philosophy and more than 4000+ hours of clinical hours to serve and guide others on their journey.

MY STORY

I didn’t know it at the time, but I had already spent most of my childhood and teen years studying the people around me.

At the age of 18 I began to devour literature on psychology and spiritual teachings, in particular Buddhism, that began to inform my view of life and ultimately my approach to making sense of thoughts and feelings.

Eventually, I stumbled on the concept of high sensitivity. It was such a relief to realize that what I had been sensing, feeling and experiencing was not only legitimate, but when properly honored, a gift that can be of value and service to the collective.

When I was 25, after the end of a significant relationship, I began to ask myself: why do we suffer needlessly? Pain is an unavoidable part of life, but I began to see that we can also be the cause of our own unnecessary suffering.

My quest to answer this question led me to consciously engage in a healing journey that combined many different modalities, including psychotherapy. I also began to seriously study different schools of thought about what it means to be human — from depth psychology, Buddhist philosophy, evolutionary astrology to human design — all the while paying rapt attention to my own process of growth and change.

In 2016, I went to school for a Master’s degree in mental health counseling and in 2019 I began practicing full-time as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in NYC, working with a largely immigrant Chinese and first-generation Asian American population, which allowed me to engage deeply with the specific ancestral and inter-generational wounding that comes with this particular cultural lineage.

While I work hard to ensure my skills and knowledge are up-to-date and constantly refining, I care just as much that I walk my talk and embody all that I seek to teach.

I’m honored that I get to do this work. Thank you for being here and I hope to be of service to you.

my approach

INTEGRATIVE PSYCHOTHERAPY

Integrative therapy is an approach. The basis of integrative therapy affirms the inherent value and intrinsic wholeness of each human being. It’s a style that honors mind, body, spirit. My intention for each session is to create a space where you can meet yourself wherever you are with more grace and compassion. Clarity, growth and empowerment naturally follow.

My work is grounded in psychodynamic theories, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems theory, dialectical behavioral therapy, and compassion focused therapy.

What does all this mean for you? It means that I am able to draw upon what I’ve assimilated from these schools of thought to offer an approach that is tailor-made for you.

METAPHYSICAL TOOLS

For those looking to deepen in their self-understanding, I offer customized evolutionary astrology and human design readings - and work with you to integrate this knowledge through creating actionable steps based on your unique blueprint.
